Who Should Attend?
This certification program is for human resources/labor relations professionals, and city attorneys
with limited labor negotiations exposure. It is designed for anyone who wants to include this
impressive certification on his or her resume, for anyone who wants to understand the basics of
labor/management relations, for anyone who wants to be prepared to negotiate a comprehensive
labor agreement, for anyone who wants to understand the arbitration process, for anyone who
wants to refresh and update his or her skills, and for anyone who wants a broader knowledge of
labor relations.
Registration Fees
The registration fee includes all materials for this program, a resource book, continental breakfast,
refreshments, and lunch. Hotel costs are not included in the fees and each attendee must make
independent hotel reservations directly with a nearby hotel. CALPELRA will reserve a block of
rooms at a discounted rate whenever possible.
To Earn A Certificate
A Certificate of Attendance will be provided for attendance at each Academy. A CALPELRA Labor Relations Masters Certification will be awarded
upon completion of all three Academies 1, 2, and 3, and a final project. The three Basic Academies
may be taken in any order.
Attorneys earn 6.0 hours of MCLE credit for each session.
